Colds are crap

It's Monday evening at 20 past 8, EastEnders is on the telly and I'm lying in bed with a horrible head cold. Anyway, enough of all that; I don't expect any sympathy.

Actually, yes I f*cking do. Send your get well messages here.

So, anyway... I've gone and decided to learn Ruby, this fantastic programming language from Japan. Until very recently I didn't know much about it, but the new guy at work reckons it's the bees knees, I fancy a bit of a new challenge and adding more strings to one's bow seems like a good idea, so I thought I'd have a look. I'll post more here as I embark on my Ruby-learning journey.

I've already had a play with Ruby mate and it is f*cking amazing how quick and easy you can setup applications.

I'd be a bit wary of going for the full on apps at the moment though. It's still a very modern language that needs to address some issues but its definitely worth looking into, especially if you're going to be doing a lot of basic database actions.

Good to see you on the blogging bandwagon by the way. When can we expect the Thellers podcast?? ;)

Hello mate - only just had a look at ya comment. Thanks for the heads up, I haven't really had any more looks at Ruby since I posted this, but I reckon I will get back into it soon.
